KANEKA BELGIUM N.V. ACCELERATES RESEARCH ACTIVITIES IN PHOTOVOLTAIC TECHNOLOGY

At the moment around 275 employees are working at Kaneka Belgium N.V. which is an affiliate of Kaneka Corporation (consolidated group approx. 7,500 employees), a very successful and profitable Japanese company with a broad product range. Kaneka Belgium N.V. exists for more than 30 years and is located at Westerlo (Belgium). The company develops, produces and sells chemical products for the construction, automotive and adhesive industries.

To expand the European activities of Kaneka on solar cells, Kaneka Belgium N.V. has recently set up a research center for photovoltaic technology. Together with the Japanese R&D center and IMEC as a Belgian partner, the new research activities are focusing on silicon-solar cell technology. Kaneka is recognized world-wide as a specialist in developing and producing high efficiency thin film silicon-solar cells.

To strengthen its research center for photovoltaic technology, Kaneka is looking for:

EXECUTIVE RESEARCHER
(Photovoltaic Technology)

Job Content:

• You work together with well-experienced Kaneka researchers for the efficiency improvement of thin film silicon solar cells.
• You conduct innovative research on silicon-solar cells in collaboration with IMEC well-established laboratories in Europe.

Your profile:

• You have a master/university + PhD degree with a profound knowledge of semiconductors, preferably experience in crystalline silicon-solar cells.
• You have proven experience doing R&D in PV-technology
• You are passionate by research regarding renewable energy and solar systems.
