Dear customer,
The global tightness on all our main raw materials is further pushing their cost up to historical levels now, which inevitably leads us to have to reset the price levels of all our product groups, effective from July 1st where contracts allow.
| Product Group | Increase euro/kg. |
| Kane Ace B series, MBS impact modifier resins | 0.20 |
| Kane Ace PA series, Acrylic processing aid resins | 0.30 |
| Kane Ace FM series, Acrylic impact modifier resins | 0.25 |
We will contact you in the very near future to explain you in more detail and to answer any questions you may have regarding this matter.
We value very much your confidence in Kaneka and would like to ask once more for your understanding.
Yours Sincerely,
Olivier Renson
Business Manager

Kaneka Belgium NV
June 10th, 2010 Eperan Market situation.
Already since several months we are faced with an unexpected and continuous price increase for the raw materials used for our EPERAN®-production. Especially for Polypropylene the price hike is a very big one, caused by the tight supply of C3-material (propylene).
As a result the costs for the production of EPERAN® are steadily climbing up whereas this effect is intensified by the fact that unfortunately the sales quantities are still rather small.
In other words: the raw material prices are already scratching the peaks of 2008 while the sales quantities are still much smaller.
This situation, coupled with other increasing services, are severely disrupting our cost structure. Should this situation remain or even get worse, Kaneka Belgium would be forced to come on the market with a price increase request, because we are already at a point where we cannot bear any longer this cost increase alone.
Kaneka Belgium will keep you updated via our local representatives.
May 6th, 2010 Kane Ace price increase
Dear Customer,
Due to the further cost escalation of our main raw materials, we are forced to announce a new price increase for our impact modifiers and processing aids.
The increase will be effective from May 1st where contracts alllow.
<Read More>April 27th, 2010 HPPD, PPD, Kane Ace resin price increase
From April 1st, Kaneka Belgium will increase the selling price for its impact modifiers and processing aids.
We are pushed to do so due to the continuing sharp increase of raw materials cost, which is strongly enhanced by the very tight global availability of certain monomers.
