Award-Winning Innovation: Green Planet™ Packaging for Sony BRAVIA® TVs

We are excited to announce that Kaneka Corporation has won the prestigious 49th Kinoshita Packaging Technology Award, presented by the Japan Packaging Institute. This award recognizes our innovative large-screen TV cushioning material, which utilizes Kaneka's Biodegradable Polymer Green Planet material.

The Green Planet™ foam molded material was developed in collaboration with Kaneka Corporation, Sony Corporation, Sony Global Manufacturing & Operations Corporation, and Kaneka Foam Plastics. This material will be used as packaging for the 85-inch "BRAVIA®" LCD TV, starting in the summer of 2024.
